Charlie set it up on a plate – and Boydy made a meal of it

T was great to return to winning ways against Luton and put in another improved performance at home.

They are a decent side, who had plenty of possession but we played much better and took the chances that came our way.

Boydy took loads of stick from their fans, but while he tried his hardest to fluff the chance that came his way I don't think even I would have missed that one. Charlie did very well to force the keeper into a mistake and he couldn't have put it on a plate anymore, although Boydy still managed to let the defender on the line get a touch on it.

That goal sent us on our way and I was very pleased to see Andy Barcham get off the mark.

The lad has got a good touch and he uses his blistering pace at the right times. But that is enough of bigging him up because his head is already big enough, especially after getting clattered by Chris Perry on Saturday.

While it must have hurt at least it probably knocked a bit of sense into the man I've dubbed Geovanni. I think he is a ringer for the Man City player - just with a bigger head of course!

We have got two tough away games now against Northampton and Walsall, who are both in good form. But we will go into both games confident we can come away with something from them and hopefully put a bit of distance between us and two teams just below us in the table.

Talking of which, a win on Friday night could move us up to second if other results go our way and there is no bigger incentive needed than that to go up there and get the victory.
