WHILE the scoreline might have flattered us a bit against Tranmere on Tuesday night, that result has been coming for a while.
In the previous two home games the performances were there, but we just couldn't get the goals.
It was important for us to get back to winning ways and it is also nice to be back in the positives in the goal difference reading in the table as well. Seriously though the table is so tight at the moment, it could well come down to goal difference so it was nice to also get another cleansheet.
The result is also a timely boost for us going to Forest on Saturday, because it is a massive game.
It is a lovely ground and hopefully there will be a big crowd. We will certainly need our excellent away fans behind us again, and I'm sure we will take a big number with us, as it is one of those games everyone looks forward to.
We are already back in the promotion mix after Tuesday, but you want to pick up points off the teams above you and another win would put us right up there in the table.
Even if we only come away with a draw it would be ok, because we are now entering the run-in and the main thing now is just to get results in as many of our away games as possible.
There hasn't been too much going on over the last week, although an investigation has been launched to find out who pulled Smudger's (Dean Smith's) ginger locks during Sean's goal celebration near the bench on Tuesday.
While there are a few candidates in the frame we aren't sure yet who the guilty culprit is.
