ORIENT blew a 2-1 lead and a chance to go back to the top of the table as Doncaster swept aside the sorry Londoners with a late goal surge.

The game was played on Sunday because of a big race meeting the day before.

Following a goal-less first half, the hosts races in front on 52 minutes when Richie Wellens was first to react to fire home after Gareth Robert's free-kick had hit the edge of the wall.

The O's however responded well and levelled on 56, after Jabo Ibehre profited from some excellent work by Adam Chambers to convert from close range.

Martin Ling's men then went in front 12 minutes later, as skipper Stephen Purches slid the ball under Neil Sullivan from a tight angle. But Donny went straight down the other end from the kick off, as Lewis Guy found his way past Purches before crossing for Jason Price, who lashed the ball into the top corner of the net from eight yards.

James Hayter then had a goal ruled out for a foul on Charlie Daniels, before the former Bournemouth striker made it 3-2 with a hooked shot on 83 minutes. Doncaster wrapped up the points two minutes from time, as Wellens low shot beat Nelson.

A frustrated Ling said: "We weren't good enough as a defensive unit in the second half and individual errors cost us."
