ORIENT make the short trip to Victoria Road for their third pre-season friendly, writes Craig Rodhouse.

New boy Simon Dawkins will make his first appearance for the O's after an ankle injury he picked up in the club's pre-season tour of Belgium prevented him from playing against KFCO Wilrijk and Boston.

Dawkins, has joined the Brisbane Road outfit on an six month loan deal from Tottenham and is now poised to make his first appearance in Orient colours.

Fellow new boys Danny Granville, Andrew Cave-Brown and Jamie Jones have also been included in Martin Ling's squad, however Ryan Jarvis will not be playing as the former Norwich striker is struggling with a slight groin strain.

Centre-halves Alton Thelwell (knee) and Tamika Mkandawire (groin) will both also be missing, but the pair are expected to be resuming full training soon.

Youngsters Chris Robson, Patrick O'Donnell, Soloman Shields, Loick Pires and Bradley Gray have all also been included in Ling's 20-man squad, all of whom will be looking to impress.

The match kicks off at 7.45pm at Victoria Road tonight and the O's next match is a trip to football league new boys Aldershot on Saturday.
