MICHAEL DAWSON has rejected claims that he is on his way to Newcastle United after reports suggested the Magpies were prepared to offer £6million for the defender.
Recent reports have linked the 24-year-old with a move away from White Hart Lane as part of Juande Ramos' revolution, despite forging a strong partnership with Jonathan Woodgate at the heart of the defence.
And the former Nottingham Forest man is adamant that he will be wearing the Tottenham shirt next season.
"I am happy here and I don't know where that has come from," insisted Dawson. "We have got depth in the centre-back position and hopefully the manager thinks like that as well.
"Fingers crossed it will be the same next year. It is competition and we want to push on."
The former Nottingham Forest man has been an ever-present for Spurs over the past few years, and has been forced to shoulder much of the defensive responsibilities following Ledley King's troublesome injuries.
